Carla Hardy has 11 years of professional experience in a variety of health and wellness fields; from athletics, parks and recreation and commercial and corporate fitness. Her most recent endeavor is providing fitness and nutritional education at Emmanuel Tabernacle within the Faith For Fitness ministry and authoring the self help guide FaithFULL and Fit.
Carla Hardy earned her Master of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in Human Performance and Recreation with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. She acquired a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Memphis in Exercise Sport Science and Health Promotions. Ms. Hardy is currently certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), as well as certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as a Primary Group Fitness Instructor and CPR, First Aid and AED certified through the American Heart Association.
In 2010, Carla opened Transcendent 360 Health and Fitness LLC, which focuses on improving quality of life by addressing all areas of wellness, including but not limited to physical, nutritional and spiritual. Carla has worked for Corporate Sports Unlimited for the past 8 years developing wellness programs, teaching group fitness classes, personal training and managing health clubs. Throughout her tenure at Corporate Sports Unlimited, Carla has received numerous accolades, such as Employee of the Year and 3 President’s Cup awards for health club of the year. She also served as president of the CSU Wellness Committee and chairman of the Community Service project committee. Prior to working with Corporate Sports Unlimited, Ms. Hardy was a graduate assistant at the University of Southern Mississippi teaching Concepts of Wellness, basketball, weight training, walking, First Aid/CPR and exercise physiology labs. She also coached collegiate and high school track and field and worked in parks and recreation.
